How do I search for a book by title?

  1. Go into Hannon Library Search.
  2. Select "Title" from the first dropdown.
  3. Enter the book title in the search box.
  4. Hit search.
  5. If we have it and it's not checked out, it should be listed with "Available at" and then the location and call number. If it's an ebook, there will be a link that says "Online Access."
    • Books in our consortium will also appear. They will say "Check holdings." To order these:
      1. Click on the title or "Check holdings" link.
      2. Click on "Summit - Request item" link.
      3. Click on "Request" in the lower right.
      4. You will get an email when it arrives (bout 2-3 business days) and then you can pick it up at the Access Services desk.
      5. If you don't want to see these books, you can change the scope at the very top to "Hannon only."
    • Articles will also appear in the list. You can limit the search by changing the "Material Type" at the top or you can click on the "Print books" and/or "eBooks" facets on the right.
  6. If you don't see it, you can try looking in WorldCat and requesting the book through through Interlibrary Loan (for SOU students, faculty, and staff).
