What is Summit?

Summit refers to the catalog of books and other materials that we share with our consortium, the Orbis Cascade Alliance. The Alliance includes most academic libraries in Oregon, many in Washington, and is expanding to include Idaho. Most academic books are available to SOU students, faculty, and staff through at least one of these institutions. You can search the collection through the Summit Catalog. It can be accessed through the Hannon Library Catalog by changing the "Search Scope." To learn more about searching, see these basic search tips. To learn more about requesting a book through Summit, see How Do I request a book through Summit? You can also learn more on our Summit Borrowing page.
